I am a cute little guy if I do say so myself.  You would never believe that I am 15, would you?  My owners were moving and couldn’t take me with them.  They heard about As Good as Gold and now I have a second chance.  I am a super sweet, loving dog with great energy for a guy my age.  Everyone who meets me falls in love with me right away.  I get along great with all people, dogs and even cats!

I am most happy when I can be with people.  I would love a family that is home with me.  After all, I want to soak up all of the attention I can get.  I have none of those youngster bad habits, I am easy to have around.  I love to go for walks and rides in the car.  When foster mom says the words, I start jumping and almost do somersaults with excitement.

Foster mom says she can’t say enough wonderful things about me and that I couldn’t be any sweeter.  Doesn’t that sound like a companion you would love to have around?  Seniors are easy going and wonderful companions.  You should check me out for yourself.

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
