Annual Golden Rescue Reunion Picnic

Every summer, we invite all As Good as Gold member families and adoptive families to attend a reunion picnic along with their well-behaved dogs. Dogs are welcome to attend even if your dogs didn’t come from As Good as Gold or aren’t goldens.

The picnic goes on rain or shine! We include a range of fun activities for both dogs and their families. In past years, we have offered canine good citizen testing, dog massages, and other fun games and contests throughout the afternoon. A selection of As Good as Gold merchandise is available for sale during the picnic, including our annual As Good As Gold calendars.

In past years, we have averaged 100 dogs at the picnic. This can be very difficult for dogs that don’t get along well with other dogs. If you know that being around other dogs can be stressful for your dog, please be kind to your dog and let him or her spend the afternoon at home.

This year’s picnic is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th, 2024!
